Meet the Guests
Our tag team of Toastmasters, Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta, had short, witty introductions for each of the Guests of Honor. Rebecca demonstrated that gravity still works by dropping both a copy of her latest work and a copy of our Writer Guest of Honor, Jennifer Roberson's new release. (Jennifers' made a much louder noise, leading to many comments about being paid by the word. The Andersons made several favorable comments about the Artist Guest of Honor Mary Hanson-Roberts' work, especially her Tarot deck. Our Fan Guest of Honor, Forrest J. Ackerman, was twitted for preferring to be at the filming of Vampirella, rather than at the reception. Then the Andersons introduced Heather Alexander, who ended the formal part of the evening with a song for the attendees. Afterwards, the attendees schmoozed with the guests, sampled the buffet, and enjoyed the fortune cookies.
