Artist Colony Package
Rule 1: All Artist Colony participants must be members of the convention with an official badge for recognition. Rule 2: All Artist's Colony Participants must agree to a half a table space for their work, and pay the sum of $10 for each half table space. Additional space can be provided if available by speaking with the Artist's Colony Manager. Additional space cannot be obtained without prior authorization from the Artist's Colony Manager. Rule 3: All Artist's Colony participants must appear on the first day of the convention, be assigned a space, and stay at the space during the entire duration of the convention. Squatters will not be tolerated. Those who cannot attend the first day of the convention may be a space reserved for them by contacting the Artist's Colony Manager prior to the start of the convention. At noon on the second day, a sign up sheet will be circulated to show the entire population of the Artist's Colony and where they are seated, and their names and addresses will be collected for future convention information. Helpers must be restricted to one, and they must show a convention membership. Rule 4: Artists in the Colony can only sell original artwork, or prints of their own design. There cannot be any selling of unauthorized, or 'Black Market' merchandise. If it is a copy, and it is not your work, or your characters, or your art, then it cannot be sold in the Artist's Colony. If it is not your art or your character, then it must be an original drawn by you! All such pieces must display the copyright mark, and the name of the original creator, or studio of origin. Parody does not apply here, and can be sold in the Colony. Rule 5: Guest of Honor Artists are entitled to the first pickings for table space, and will have their spaces reserved for them until which time as they arrive. Guest of Honor Artists are entitled to an entire table space. Rule 6: There cannot be any sexually explicit or pornographic artwork sold in the Artist's Colony. This is a family show, and this consideration must be taken. Rule 7: All Artist's Colony participants must be registered with the California State Board of Equalization with a resale license on their person and ready for inspection at all times. Exceptions are out of state participants, who must have a resale license from their respective states. Rule 8: All artwork must be available for sale in the Artist's Colony. Exceptions cannot be made. I agree to the fundamental rules and regulations set aside for this year's BayCon 2000. I will follow these rules to the letter with the understanding that any such violation of these rules will result in removal from the tables of Artist's Colony. This does not revoke my membership from the convention, but prohibits sales of art related merchandise in the Artist's Colony area. All judgements are made by the Artist's Colony Manager Dan Lopez.
