"There's no way I can survive four days without email!" Don't worry.
After an absence of a couple of years, the Internet Lounge will be
returning to BayCon. This is largely due to three sponsors who have
stepped forward to help us: Linuxcare, which is paying the hotel's
Internet connection fee, VA Linux Systems, which will be providing
Linux workstations, and Red Hat, which is paying for the room and
providing copies of their 6.2 OS and GNUtools. Assuming you can tear
yourself away from the many other activities at BayCon, you'll be able
to satisfy your need for email and web-surfing. If you're not a Linux user, don't be afraid to ask the staff member on duty for help using our Linux workstations. All of the Internet Lounge staff members are very experienced Linux users, and will be very happy to give you a hand. If you have your own laptop, feel free to come by and use one of our spare network connections. There will be a signup sheet in the Lounge for use of the systems and laptop network connections. If all the systems are being used and there is someone waiting for the next available system, we will ask that you limit your use to a maximum of one hour. Look for the Internet Lounge in Room 204, across the walkway from the second floor elevator lobby. It will be open during the following hours (subject to change):
