From the Programming Department (programming@baycon.org): Planning! We are planning more surprises and new things to talk about at BayCon this year than ever before! There will be panels a plenty and activities and exhibits to entertain and amaze you. Did you know that Tim Russ was a singer as well as fine actor? Come hear him with Neil Norman's Cosmic Orchestra Saturday night at BayCon! Thought about what it might be like to vacation on the Moon or Mars? Attend our presentation on Space Tourism! Wonder what it's like to work at ILM or PIXAR or in Hollywood? Come and hear people in the industry tell you all about it! What does it take to get your words or art in print? Our guests will share their secrets with you! Curious about the Silicon Valley and 'dot com' start ups? Listen to what those who are in the thick of it have to say! Learn how to fence at BayCon? Yep! Frank Lurz will be offering a mini course in the art this year! Want to find out what's on tap from Hollywood? Chris Knight is back with his "Trailer Park" (and all those goodies)! Can you say.... "Eye of Argon?" We've got a reading planned! Would you like to build a species in your own likeness? Participate in our Species Building panels! What the heck is the "The X Prize?" Find out at BayCon! Harry Potter, good or bad influence? Come state your position at our panel! Like to give that special someone a really great massage? Tom Whitmore and Ray Greer will show you where *not* to squeeze... erm, unless you're into that kind of thing! Create a robot for fun or mayhem at BayCon this year! Game shows, auctions with a definitely delightful twist and special treasures to be had for a great cause, costume exhibits, drumming circles, workshops and special performances, a Klingon Kalisthenix Klass and morning Tai Chi to get you energized, concerts and more! We'll be talking about all of the Arts and the 'Business and Behind the Scenes of...', the Sciences, Technology, Research and Speculations, History and the Future, Entertainment, Social Issues and Change, the Environment, Lifestyles, Fandom, and lots of interesting ideas.
