Saturday and Sunday starting around 8:00 PM, or when the sun goes down: the
perfect time for all of you vampires, ghosts, goblins and the attendees
of Baycon to roam the earth, or hotel; come join us on the pool deck to
enjoy some old film classics. We will provide the entertainment you
bring the fun. Saturday evening we will be featuring shorts from Disney,
Bugs Bunny & friends & some black & white classics.
And on Sunday night...
Imagine you're not a Starship Captain. Imagine you don't play one on
TV. Imagine you're at a convention, surrounded by strange people who
look like aliens. (If you cannot imagine this, just come to the
convention--It will help, trust me.)
Okay, now imagine you used to play a Starship Captain on TV, and the
strange people who look like aliens really are aliens. And they
come from a planet that has based the entire structure of its society
on the Sci-Fi show you're not on anymore.
Too weird? Too normal? Anyone who has ever been to a con must see the
winner of last year's Hugo Award for Best Science Fiction Presentation:
Galaxy Quest! BayCon will be filled with such people.
Therefore BayCon is clearly obliged to show Galaxy Quest as its
Drive-In Movie this year! I'm sure you understand.
