2001: baycon's odd-i-see

GOFERS

BayCon 2001 needs volunteers for this years convention, plain and simple. A convention of BayCon size can't run on official staff alone, we need you and other volunteers that can help keep the convention together. Volunteers construct things, watch doors, tear things down, keep attendees happy, move things, keep track of what is going on at the convention, and all the other things that makes BayCon great. We need anyone that will be willing to work a little here and a little there. If you can help us over the weekend, every bit helps. Your enthusiasm and specialties are wanted and can be put to good use.

To be a gofer you must purchase a weekend membership. In return for working the convention we provide you with food/snacks, crash space to sleep, all the sci-fi/anime/fantasy programming you can stomach watching, and a glimpse of what it is like behind the scenes of a large event such as this. Additionally, if you work 18 hours of the course of the convention (which isn't that difficult to accomplish over four days) we will give you a free membership for BayCon 2002 or a reimbursement of your membership (after the convention, provided that the convention makes a profit).

If you want to volunteer for BayCon 2001, email us at gophers@baycon.org or find us in the Gofer Hole on the second floor of the hotel sleeping rooms at BayCon 2001.
