Guests of Honor

Brandon Sanderson

Our Writer Guest of Honor is the author of "The Mistborn Trilogy", as well as several other fantasy and young-adult novels. In 2007 Robert Jordan's widow and publisher jointly selected Brandon to complete the legendary "The Wheel of Time" series. Both of the first two books Brandon wrote for that series, The Gathering Storm and Towers of Midnight, reached No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list. His third and concluding book in the series, A Memory of Light, is due in 2012.

Stephan Martiniere

Our Artist Guest of Honor is an internationally acclaimed Science Fiction and Fantasy artist, with a myriad of of awards including a Hugo and Chesleys. He is known for his talent, versatility and imagination in every entertainment field from feature films and animation, to video games, theme parks, editorial, commercial and book covers. Some of the projects he has been involved with are Star Wars: Episodes 2 & 3, Tron Legacy, Star Trek, I, Robot, The Fifth Element, Virus, Red Planet, The Astronaut's Wife, Titan A.E, URU: Ages beyond Myst, URU: The Path of the Shell, Myst 5, Area 51, Blitz, Ballers, MK vs DC, and Wheelman.

Scott and Cathy Beckstead

Fan Guests of Honor Scott and Cathy Beckstead are LA area fans who have volunteered for conventions small and large. They are previous Loscon chairs, and Cathy is a board member of SCIFI, Inc.

Dani Kollin and Eytan Kollin

Toastmasters Dani and Eytan are a hilarious comedy duo, brothers, and entertaining panelists from many a previous BayCon, as well as the Prometheus Award winning co-authors of The Unincorporated Man, The Unincorporated War, and the recently released The Unincorporated Woman.
