Iron Editor Panel
COME ONE, COME ALL!!
Where: Check Baycon Programming
When: Check Baycon Programming
Why: Because it's fun. We have done this for the last three Baycons and it was a blast for submitters, audience members and panelists alike. Normally, any "writers' workshop" is a private, behind closed doors affair, inviting rumors on ancient and tribal rites involving bio-based Styrofoam, marshmallows, duct tape and the odd un-observant Pastafarian. This panel is designed to bring to the public what the process looks and sounds like. Using submissions from the audience members, our panelists will quickly mark up each manuscript and present a critique. All of our Iron Editors have been published themselves, and have a very good idea of what a story needs to get published.
What: Your chance to have up to 2 double spaced pages of creative writing critiqued right before your eyes by our panel of published authors. Either bring your submission or drop it off in the box at the INFORMATION DESK. You must be present to have your submission critiqued! The more – the merrier!! Also, non submitting Audience Members required. See Writers Workshop regarding Taiko Drummers and the band Men Without Pants.
How: The exact format will be determined by how many submissions we receive.
